How to make the best Souvlaki
The secret in making the best Souvlaki is not knowing a complicated secret recipe, but instead its in simplicity and freshness. Keep in mind that when you are buying the ingredients spend a little extra and buy a high quality fresh porc loin or shoulder.
Ingredients
- 5lbs of cubed porc
- 1/2 cup oregano
- 1/4 cup salt
- 1/4 cup pepper
- 1/4 steak spice
- 5 cups vegetable oil
Procedure
- Cut porc into bite size cubes and place in a large bowl
- add ingredients on the cubes
- mix ingredients into the cubes using your hand or desired tool
- put into refrigerator and let marinate for at least 12hrs, (24hrs for best results)
- Put five cubes onto each brochette skewer
- cook to desired taste
